3 Architecture Degree Programs in Slovakia

Having enrolled in the bachelor’s study program Architecture and Urban Design, you will acquire the basic theoretical and practical background necessary for the profession of an architect and obtain the corresponding knowledge, skills, and competencies. Graduating from the Architecture and Urban Design Study Program will provide you with the diploma that enables you to apply for further architectural studies and you will be entitled to cooperate on architectural and urban design projects under supervision in architecture studios in Europe and beyond. This certainly qualifies you to study architecture and/or urban planning at the Master's degree level at the Faculty of Architecture and Design (FAD) as well as in related study programs at other European universities.

Enrolling in the master’s study program Architecture at the Faculty of Architecture and Design of the Slovak University of Technology (FAD STU or just FAD) you will unfold your creativity and acquire abilities to develop complex architectural ideas and designs of new buildings as well as reconstruction of historical buildings, including their interiors and exteriors. You will be eligible to draft technical documentation of all project stages from architectural design through building permit projects to construction plans. Working on the scale of a city, you will be eligible to develop urban designs and master plans. In all this, you will make use of the understanding of cultural, intellectual, historic, socio-economic and ecological relations of the architecture and the environment, and you will rely on experiences, presentation and other skills obtained during your master studies at the Faculty of Architecture and Design.

The PhD. study program Architecture at the Faculty of Architecture and Design of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (FAD STU or just FAD) reflects the current research and artistic orientation and enables you to refine your individual profiles, focused on theoretical and scientific exploration. The study fosters your ability to work creatively and independently on projects of theoretical, research & development (R&D) or artistic nature, and to analyse and solve challenging problems in your respective study fields. It also prepares you on how to establish your own creative R&D or artistic practice.
