9 Construction Advanced Certificate Degree Programs

The Millwright Foundation Program consists of 24 weeks of foundation training and a 3 week (90 hour) practicum requirement and will provide the skills required for students to obtain level 1 technical training.

Students who complete the Welder Foundation program will receive Levels 1 and 2 technical training and 300 work-based hours credit toward completing their Welder Apprenticeship. Certified welders will qualify to test for Pressure Welding IT Procedure tests administered by Technical Safety BC (TSBC).

This program consists of the SkilledTrades – Heavy Mechanical Trades – Foundation training and a 2-week, mandatory work experience placement. There are four mechanical trades paths introduced in this program.

The BTEC Higher National qualifications in Construction are aimed at students looking to develop their career into management, higher technical and professional roles across the construction sector.

The Electrician Applied Certificate Program is a great place to start. Learn how to install, test, replace and repair lighting fixtures, wiring, and electrical equipment, and how to read and interpret construction drawings. Plus, you’ll get lots of hands-on practice using standard tools of the trade. When you graduate, you’ll be prepared for an entry-level job. Trade time and academic credit may be available for graduates who find employment in the trade and register as apprentices.

This Level 1 course will teach you essential skills to prepare you for further training within the construction environment.
