On this programme, you'll delve deep into the strategies, technologies, and organisational change dynamics required to thrive in an era defined by digital disruption.

Course unit details
During the course, you will be taking 180 credits in total. The eight taught modules during semesters one and two total 120 credits and consist of both compulsory and optional taught units.

FinTech Pathway
Take this unique pathway in semester two and gain an in-depth understanding of practice and theory in the areas of financial technology (FinTech). You will decide which pathway you wish to take during Semester 1, if you choose the FinTech pathway, your degree certifcation will be in Digital Transformation (FinTech).
Year-Long Consultancy Project (60 credits)
- Apply what you have learned in the taught part of the course to real-world consultancy projects.
- Acting as consultants, students will be required to work in groups to deliver a comprehensive solution to a complex case study.
- You’ll be working to develop a this project throughout the year.
- Study an MSc degree informed by leading industry experts.
- Analyse the impact of digital technologies on various industries and sectors, including the implications for business models and the adoption of emerging technologies in diverse settings.
- Design and implement digital strategies and initiatives to enhance organisational operations and supply chains.
- Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address challenges in digital strategy formulation and implementation through collaborative team projects.
- Utilise project management methodologies and tools to plan, monitor and deliver digital transformation projects.
- Take part in a year-long consultancy project that gives you the experience you need for future employment in place of a traditional dissertation.
This course is a 12 month full-time course, based in Manchester. All our MSc courses are taught in Manchester only; they are not available to study online.
Teaching and learning
We adapt teaching practices to reflect the diverse ways in which students learn, by combining traditional lectures with more interactive workshops, self-learning, as well as various aspects of e-learning.
Across the whole programme, the teaching and learning methods are designed to help you develop a sufficiently broad range of transferrable skills, including:

- Group projects to develop team-working skills
- Written assessments to develop written communication skills
- E-Learning incorporated into assessment to develop greater levels of confidence in managing your own learning and transferable digital skills
