Student services & facilities
The University of Dundee has a range of student services available, designed to support our students throughout their studies. Some of the services on offer include:
- Careers Service – providing a range of services including one-to one appointments with Career Advisers, CV clinics and an online JobShop to help students search for part-time work, internships and graduate employment
- The Global Room – a unique space for students to relax, meet new people and celebrate cultural events from around the world
- International Advice Service – provides specialist advice, practical guidance and support to all international students and their families
- Institute of Sport and Exercise – offering a wide range of sport and exercise facilities including a gym, exercise studio, squash courts, swimming pool, sauna, sports fields, and tennis courts
- Library and Learning Centre – our main library has a wide range of electronic and printed resources as well as a café and relaxation areas, group study rooms with the latest technology, and flexible, creative spaces.
Student lifestyle
Dundee is a safe, multicultural city and was revealed as the most affordable place to be a student in the UK by international education provider Oxford Royale in 2021.
Our campus is situated in the vibrant west-end of Dundee, with the city’s best shops, cafés, bars and restaurants within walking distance. There are also museums, art galleries, theatres and beautiful green spaces close by.
On campus itself, you can find top-class sports and gym facilities, as well as Dundee University Students’ Association (DUSA), a central hub for our students, which offers bars, cafes, and a convenience store.
DUSA also supports over 250 student societies, bringing together groups of students who all share the same interest. Student societies are a great way to make new friends and with the broad range of societies on offer, students can keep up with a current hobby or try something completely different
Accommodation
Our student accommodation at the University of Dundee is made up around 250 self-contained flats of five to ten students. All bedrooms are single occupancy, complete with en-suite shower and toilet.
Each flat has its own well-equipped kitchen, dining and living space, with access to the University’s fast Wi-Fi.
