7 Administration Foundation Year Programs

KLU’s Business Foundations Program (Studienkolleg) is the perfect starting point for international students transitioning to European education models and preparing for a Bachelor’s degree in business and management. This one-year program not only bridges educational gaps but also integrates students into KLU’s vibrant community from day one. Upon completing the program and passing the assessment test (Feststellungsprüfung), students seamlessly transition into the second year of KLU’s Bachelor program. Along the way, participants gain academic preparation, cultural immersion, and valuable career insights, ensuring a smooth transition to university life in Germany and setting the foundation for a successful global career.

This is a one‑year intensive pathway designed for students entering with prior higher‑education experience. It allows them to acquire Vatel’s academic methodology and complete the required professional internship. After completing the Foundation Year students continue directly into our MBA programme.

The International Year One in Business Management is a first-year undergraduate equivalent Program that builds students' knowledge and skills in the Business field. You will also study our integrated English for Academic Purposes module which is accepted in lieu of IELTS and will help you improve your English language skills.

The Online Foundation program is aimed at students who are looking to gain university entry or practical management experience in order to enhance their job prospects. Upon completion, students receive a Level 3 Diploma. Students can then apply for admission onto a full on-campus Undergraduate Degree Bachelor’s degree programme from Schellhammer Business School or UK universities.

Many high school students aspire to enrol in an international bachelor’s degree but lack the skills and background to do so. The Business Bridging program provides candidates with the knowledge required to succeed in our three-year bachelor’s programs. The Business Bridging program is a one-semester (13-week) course that acts as a bridge to the first year of our bachelor's programs.

This course is designed for students wanting to pursue a career in human resource management. The programme provides challenging, comprehensive learning experiences and develops students intellectual, communication and practical abilities.

The course is designed to provide practitioners with a broad overview of the key roles and responsibilities undertaken by HR and how these roles and responsibilities interact with other key stakeholders and areas of the business. It is a professional course, well respected by business and is one of the main qualifications employers look for when recruiting HR staff for front line role. It will give you understanding of the nuts and bolts of HR and the knowledge you need to continue to develop your professional skills.
