This European Master in Law and Economics (EMLE) programme offers the unique opportunity for interdisciplinary studies of law and economics at two or even three European and Non-European universities. There will be a joint LL.M. degree awarded from the Universities in Hamburg, Ghent and Rotterdam and all other partner universities will award an additional Master degree (LL.M. / M.A. / M.Sc.).

The master 2 LL.M in International and European Business Law program from the Faculty of Law Lyon 3 offers students the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of European and International Business Law. The courses, taught exclusively in English by academics and practionners, fully meet the requirements of the practice of international lawyers.

The LL.M. AWArDS program is aimed at professionals, lawyers, and advanced students seeking solid and profound knowledge of international arbitration and investment arbitration. All participants will benefit from the experience of highly respected international academics and practitioners within the international arbitration, investment arbitration, and dispute resolution sectors, and with diversified and complementary roles (full-time law professors in France or from foreign countries, lawyers, international arbitrators, quantum experts, third party funders, etc.).

The Master 1 aims to train lawyers in international and European law (EU and Council of Europe), with a specialization in the Law of Freedoms. It leads to deepening fundamental knowledge in international and European law, and prepares for further study more specialized in Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms.

The LLM Digital law and technology proposes a program that will provide the knowledge required by lawyers to participate in the digital economy. This is a growing area of practice, and the skills required are sought after both in private practice and in the industry.

This program will introduce students to core topics in international business law and develop their knowledge and understanding of core issues through a combination of exams, individual assignments, and teamwork exercises. It covers, International Business Law, International Contract Law, International Trade Law, Private International Law, European and Comparative Competition Law, Ethics in International Business Law, Corporate Governance, and Dispute Resolution depending on the Track they choose.

The course offers a Master’s Degree in Human rights Diplomacy building on Master 1, Fundamental Freedoms – International law and European Human Rights in partnership with the University of Grenoble Alpes. Completely taught through the medium of English, it will involve one year of academic study at the Catholic University of Lyon (UCLy).

This program deals mainly with practical case studies and certain key subjects, with a pluridisciplinary focus. It prepares students and professionals for operations such as large acquisitions or market transactions, cross-border mergers, complex financing, restructuring, LBOs, financial engineering, and industrial projects. These are interesting operations, offering difficulties that often lead to innovative solution-seeking. It is particularly educational to study them and analyze the legal, financial, or accounting issues raised. Contracts, guarantees, financing, and international trade litigation, among other subjects, are approached from different perspectives.

The Master 2 Law of Freedoms - Practices of international and regional human rights law is a training program agreed with the Faculty of Law of the University of Grenoble-Alpes.

The core courses of this full-year program cover the major negotiated European and Global Trade and Investment Agreements and their interaction with the WTO, with a particular focus on the European Union.
