The master's degree course has the aim of adequately preparing graduates for getting jobs in both the public and private sectors; by providing capacities for the treatment of large databases, and for planning and implementing sample surveys in various fields, with a major focus on socio-economic and environmental sectors.
The cultural and professional profile of graduates in Statistics for Sample Surveys is characterized by the full knowledge of the major statistical techniques, with a special focus on sample surveys of finite populations, statistical multidimensional analysis, and on design of statistical experiments.

This Master’s Degree Course aims to train a figure of high professionalism in the field of statistical disciplines, able both to design surveys for the study of real phenomena and to analyze and interpret the information obtained.
Skills associated with the function
The course allows the student to acquire in-depth knowledge of the statistical methodology, of its applicative aspects and of the methodological tools necessary for the design of statistical sample surveys in the economic-financial, social and ecological-environmental disciplines.
