Introduction
Biotechnologies
The degree program in Biotechnology aims to provide graduates with a solid basic biological background that allows an interpretation of biological reality from a predominantly molecular and cellular perspective, without neglecting systemic aspects.
The student's classroom training is supplemented by attending laboratory courses and internships, with the acquisition of technical-practical and computer tools necessary to acquire the experimental skills on which Biotechnology is based. The Sienese territory is home to an important biotechnology cluster. The didactic project is therefore inserted in a scientific context capable of providing highly qualified teaching, state-of-the-art infrastructures, and industrial realities not only participating in the didactic aims but also willing to receive students both in the context of educational activities and in terms of insertion in the world of work.

Program delivery
In addition to in-presence teaching, which continues to be the preferred method also in the next Academic Year, every single lesson will be simultaneously live-streamed and/or video recorded and uploaded on our digital platform for subsequent viewing. This mode is essential for students who are temporarily unable to be on premises.
