Introduction
This course will prepare you for a business and management career related to the energy industry. You will learn the economics, accounting, finance, and management of the energy and natural resources sector. You can choose from a range of specialist modules, such as electricity economics and policy, petroleum economics and policy, economic regulation and low carbon transition, international relations, and transatlantic negotiation simulation.
As the world economy is transitioning from a high-carbon to a low-carbon energy mix, our curriculum has evolved. No matter what the energy source, we focus on teaching what’s necessary for a successful business career in the energy sector: issue identification, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
You will learn to analyze, synthesize, and articulate concepts and best practices relevant to the energy industry. You will understand the fundamental drivers of various energy markets, such as oil, gas, and electric power. You'll be equipped to become or assist C-suite decision-makers in the energy industry. You’ll acquire this knowledge and skills through lectures, seminars, master classes, internships or projects, and student-led extracurricular activities.
CEPMLP has been a global voice of energy law and policy since 1977. With over 6,000 postgraduate alumni from more than 50 countries, our mission is ‘Educating Future Energy Leaders’. Our faculty members are keen to engage and support the professional goals of each student.
