Introduction
German Language A1
Recipients
Adult students with no prior knowledge of the German language.
Goals
Train students to function effectively in the German language, in the four basic skills (oral expression, written expression, listening comprehension and reading comprehension), at level A1.1, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). ). Level A1.1 is equivalent to the first half of level A1 of the CEFR. Since this course begins with a zero level in the German language, oral skills, basic grammatical structures, and concrete situations of daily life that correspond to this level will be studied in greater depth.
Curriculum
Grammatical, lexical, phonetic content, etc., corresponding to level A1.1 of the German language (declension of articles, pronouns and possessives, conjugation of regular and irregular verbs, modals, basic prepositions, negation, syntax, phonetics, etc.).
Concrete theoretical contents (examples): the declension of nouns, articles, pronouns and possessives; the two main cases (nominative, accusative) and their use in German; the subject, the direct and indirect objects; the possessive article.
The conjugation of the verb in the present indicative (regular and irregular verbs, haben, sein); the modal verbs; verbs with dative and accusative.The basic prepositions (in, von, aus, nach, zu).The gender of nouns.The negation. Greetings and farewell.The alphabet.The formation of plurals.The interrogatives. Phonetics.
The days of the week, months and seasons.Practical contents (examples): presentation dialogues (ask for and communicate basic information about people: names and surnames, age, origin, profession, hobbies); travel dialogues (asking for help, asking for places and routes, prices, means of transport, schedules, lodging, food). Presentations and exercises related to German culture.
