Introduction
The master’s program provides high-level education to graduate students with a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or scientific disciplines. The syllabus comprises topics in the following areas:
- Electrical Engineering: Electrical Drives, Automation, and Communication in Industrial Systems, Industrial Measurements, Wireless Communication Systems
- Automation: Advanced Control Systems, Industrial Automation, Process Control, Robotics, Embedded, and Real-time systems
- Economics and Management: Lean production, Organization Theory and Design, Economics for digital society, Strategic Management and Business Planning, Logistics Management
Lectures are integrated with lab activities, seminars, and tutorials, delivered by industry leaders and visiting professors from all over the world.
The program is organized into two tracks:
- Industrial Technologies and Management
- Robotics and Mechatronics
A Teaching Committee is purposely designated by the Teaching Council of the EECS course. The Committee has the task of checking whether the applicant can enter the Master's Program based on an evaluation of his/her compliance with the curricular requirements and individual background.
Career Opportunities
Graduates from the Master’s Degree in Industrial Automation Engineering can work in product innovation and development, process planning and programming, complex system advanced design and management; in electronic, electromechanical, aerospace, chemical, and aeronautical companies that develop, design, and implement automated systems and processes that integrate computer components, apparatuses of measures, transmission and implementation. They can also find employment in service companies and as freelancers.

Scholarships and Funding
Fee Waiver: exemption from the payment of the University tuition fee;
EDiSU Pavia scholarship: Edisu scholarship is open to all level applicants which includes accommodation in a Residence; one meal per day at the canteens; a sum of money, according to the student’s economic situation.
“Study in Italy”: The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs also assigns scholarships to applicants from specific countries, fulfilling some merit requirements and enrolling in Master’s Degree and PhD programs.
