Introduction
The Master’s degree course in Finance provides students with knowledge in interpretative models of quantitative finance as well as statistical and econometric techniques.
Through high specialization in mathematics, statistics, and IT, the course enables students to:
- Determine the value of financial activities.
- Measure financial product risks through econometric and risk hedging techniques.
- Design quantitative tools for optimal portfolio management.
- Analyze large databases.
The course is available also as a double-degree program with partner Universities in Belgium, China, France, Germany, and Hungary.
Career Opportunities
The master's degree in Finance prepares students to work in: banks, asset management companies, consulting companies, supervisory authorities and central banks, insurance companies, fintech and trading, and venture capital. Graduates can therefore become risk managers, quantitative analysts for portfolio management, strategic analysts for asset management companies, and quantitative analysts for fintech and trading.

EDiSU Pavia (Ente per il Diritto allo Studio Universitario) is an Agency for the Right to Higher Education, which was established by the University of Pavia and is under its direct control.
Edisu scholarship benefits include:
- Accommodation in a Residence (“Collegio”);
- One meal per day at the Canteens;
- A sum of money, according to the student’s economic situation.
Edisu scholarship for off-site students can consist of:
- Accommodation in a Collegio + One meal per day at the Canteens + Up to 3.967,00 euros;
- One meal per day at the Canteens + Up to € 6.370,00 euros.
