Bachelor’s Degree in Fundamentals of the Architecture + Master’s Degree in Architecture
The Bachelor Degree in Architecture at Universidad Europea in Madrid is a five-year programme aimed at providing students with the knowledge and skills to lead architecture projects around the world. The architecture degree, which totals 300 ECTS, ensures you will graduate having knowledge of the latest digital tools in the industry, such as BIM Methodology, Drawing, Projects and Urbanism, among others.

The General Competencies (GCs) to be acquired by students in the Bachelor’s in Fundamentals of Architecture include those required by Ministerial Order EDU/2075/2010, of 29 July, which sets forth the requirements for the verification of Official University Degrees that enable graduates to practise the profession of
Architect. ‘Section 3.1.: Competencies to be Acquired by Students in Official Undergraduate Programmes’ (Annex) lists the following, laid out in Table 1:
- General Competencies (GCs): (General Competencies of the Official Bachelor’s Degree: Ministerial Order EDU/2075/2010, of 29 July)
- GC1 - Discover the history and theories of architecture, as well as that of the arts, technologies and human sciences related to it.
- GC2 - Understand the role of fine arts as an influencing factor on the quality of architectural conception.
- GC3 - Discover urban planning and techniques applied in the planning process.
- GC4 - Understand the problems present in the structural, construction and engineering processes in building projects, as well as techniques for solving them.
- GC5 - Understand the physical problems, the different technologies and the function of buildings, so as to be able to equip them with internal conditions that are comfortable and resistant to climate factors.
- GC6 - Discover the relevant industries, organisations, regulations and procedures in order to present building projects and integrate blueprints into planning.
- CG7 - Understand the relationships between people and buildings, between buildings and their environment, as well as the need to relate buildings to the spaces around them according to human needs and scale.
