All our courses are designed around key principles based on engaging you with the world, collaborating with others, challenging you to think in new ways, and providing you with a supportive environment in which you can thrive.

Our lectures are timetabled so that you can attend university just two days a week. This allows you to balance the course with work and other commitments. Typical topics include English language teaching methodologies, how second languages are learned, teacher development, and language analysis.

All modules allow you to focus on specific areas in TESOL, such as English for Academic Purposes, Young Learners, or Assessment, and the flexible research project encourages you to specialize in a research setting of your choice.

Regular classes for MA TESOL students to improve academic writing and speaking focus on the language and skills needed for your assignments. You will be assigned an academic tutor for the year and all modules offer one-to-one support from module leaders.
