To be admitted to Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences, you must have a good command of German, enabling you to follow lectures and work independently.

Do you fulfill the academic admission requirements?

There are general admission requirements that the university expects all applicants with foreign documents to fulfill:

Your secondary school diploma or university degree must be recognized as entitling you to admission to a Bachelor's or Master's program. Be sure that you satisfy the requirement for recognition. To do so, you can use the information provided by the German Academic Exchange Service or the Anabin database of the Central Office for Foreign Education (Zentralstelle für ausländisches Bildungswesen).

Also, certain degree programs have further specific admission requirements:

Practical professional experience before commencing studies (vocational placement)

Three-year vocational training program before commencing studies (e.g. for degree programs in the care/health sector)

Artistic aptitude (for artistic/creative degree programs such as design, music pedagogy, or theater pedagogy)

Due to the great demand for study places at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences, all degree programs generally have an admission restriction. 5% of the available Bachelor places are reserved for applicants from non-EU states. These places are awarded by grade point average. Applicants from UE states are evaluated along with German applicants, also based on their grade point averages.

Admissions Option 2

The standard length of study is six semesters with a total of 180 ECTS credit points. All university modules have a scope in the size of a multiple of 5 ECTS credit points.

The study is divided into a general basic study in the first semesters in which the mathematical-scientific basics and modules to teach the fundamentals of Computer Science are taught.

On this basis, classic core courses in Computer Science and modules for specific specialization in the profile “Technical Computer Science” follow in higher semesters.

Elective modules, cross-curricular modules, project week of the faculty as well as the project work, and the Bachelor thesis round out the curriculum in the 6th semester.

The degree program concludes with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) title.
