Our strengths lie in innovation, entrepreneurship, high north knowledge, and, more recently, emergency preparedness and management alongside traditional business disciplines. Nord University’s significance lies in the ability to address global challenges with new knowledge, rooted in our region and its unique resources.

We aim to strengthen research and education related to Northern Norway and the High North, contributing to sustainable value creation and employment. Located in Sámeednam/Saepmie, the university is responsible for research and development within Lule and South Saami languages and culture.
