Key Summary
Introduction
This program combines a global international relations outlook with the practical skills of business thinking. As corporations expand and blur national boundaries, they operate in a more complex landscape. This specialization provides a solid knowledge of the global economic environment recognizing politics, cross-cultural values and ethics as key components. Students who complete this program are trained to apply a global mindset and creative thinking to conflict management and resolution while considering growth and the bottom line.
With our fast-track option, students can accelerate their studies by completing one or two intensive summer semesters. We also offer inter-campus transfers between our EU campuses and exchange programs with our OMNES sister schools in Paris, Bordeaux, Lyon, Monaco and London to enhance international experience and multicultural learning.

Learning Outcomes

Career Opportunities
The Bachelor of Arts in International Relations degree provides students with knowledge of all major business areas as well as a specialist skillset in the field of international relations. Subjects include conflict management diplomacy and foreign policy. Students who successfully complete this degree may be interested in the following job positions.
Lobbyist
Lobbyists are contracted by entities to influence government decisions- and policy-making for their benefit. A lobbyist may work for public and corporate entities, not-for-profit organizations, trade associations and communication agencies, among others. Their tasks include analyzing government policy, meeting with government officials, creating and implementing campaigns to generate public awareness and support and reporting on status.
The skills required to become a lobbyist include public speaking, communication, negotiation, research and analytical thinking.
Trade Officer
Trade officers act on behalf of local governments to promote and take advantage of business opportunities overseas. Trade officers will collate information prepare reports and/or respond to company queries about export opportunities and how to operate in a foreign country. They will support local companies abroad. Their tasks also include organizing promotional events such as trade fairs and exhibitions and networking to build business contacts.
To be a trade officer, candidates should have a good understanding of business and possess strong organizational, research, communication and interpersonal skills. Good client service skills are needed.
Global Policy Analyst
Global policy analysts advise on a wide range of international issues. Their clients may be corporations or from government. They research political trends, country stability and legal issues, among others, and closely monitor international events and policy-making to give solid advice to their clients. They are also a source of information for the press.
To succeed as a global policy analyst, professionals must possess good analytical, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
International Business Development Manager
International business development managers will create and implement business plans for company growth. They will typically look for new market opportunities overseas. For international expansion, multicultural understanding, international experience, knowledge of local culture, language, government regulations, the competitor environment and markets are essential. A business development manager may report directly to the managing director or be located within the commercial area of an organization.
A business development manager must possess strong communication skills. He also should have financial know-how and strong analytical skills.
