Introduction
Clinical Pharmacy MSc
There are two intakes a year for this programme – January and September. The closing date for applications next intake is Monday 11th January 2021.
Applications can be made using the postgraduate application form, or using the online portal.
The programme is a blend of clinical and practice modules with real life applications. The course requires minimal attendance and incorporates a blend of learning to meet the individual needs of students.

Students leaving after year one will receive a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Pharmacy. The above is a suggested configuration of modules for the Certificate Year.
Diploma Year
There are a number of different modules on offer in the Diploma Year. They are:
- Applied Therapeutics
- Clinical Pharmacists in Primary Care
- Clinical Pharmacists in Secondary Care
- Public Health
- Quality improvement
- Implementation of a Quality Improvement Service
- Deprescribing in Mental Health
- Management of Poly Pharmacy in Clinical Practice
- Antimicrobial Resistance and Antimicrobial Stewardship
- Fundamentals of Leadership and Change Management
- Concepts in Research
- Professional Decision Making and Ethics
Students studying this route will receive a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy.
Diploma Year - Optional Route Two
Any 15-credit module from the above list and -
- Independent Prescribing - Clinical Pharmacy PG Dip
Please note that the independent prescribing module has a separate entry criteria and admissions process.
