    Campus Features

    On Binghamton University’s main campus, you can find interactive classroom spaces, laboratories, a trading room where students invest real money, a museum, and more! There are six residential communities, each with their own personalities and traditions, where you can make yourself at home. One of our most unique resources is our 190 acre Nature Preserve, which is open to the public year-round.

    Just a short walk or bus ride away, students and faculty engage in cutting edge research at the Innovative Technologies Complex, study nursing and pharmacy on the Health Sciences campus, or engage with the local community and government from the University Downtown Center.

      Admissions

      Begin your application process by submitting either the Common Application or the SUNY Application

      In general, the following items are also needed for admission consideration:

      • Official high school transcripts from your most recent three years, issued from each institution attended, and translated to English if necessary.
        Binghamton University is test optional for 2024, which means standardized test scores are not required.
      • Official English proficiency test scores. Note: All test scores must be less than two years old. Binghamton accepts the following tests for demonstrating English proficiency: TOEFL IBT, TOEFL Essentials, TOEFL Home Edition, IELTS, IELTS Indicator, Duolingo, SAT, ACT, Cambridge English (B2 First, C1 Advanced or C2 proficiency).
      • Submit documents demonstrating proof of financial support to cover the first year of study in order to obtain an I-20 or DS-2019.
      • Submit the necessary documents to obtain a visa.

      Visa Requirements

      International applicants are considered those who intend to come to the university on an F-1 or J-1 student visa. We work closely with you to provide you with the information and documents you need to apply for your student visa.

      Scholarships and Funding

      Binghamton University has a limited number of scholarships available for first-year students, including international students. All applicants are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships. Scholarships may range from $3,500-$10,000. While International students are not eligible for federal/state funding, international students can apply for private scholarships that are available to them in their upperclassmen years.
