The development and growing use of Remote Piloted Aircraft Systems (SAPR) - commonly, drones - in many application and research areas requires extensive training. 400 hours of lessons and design laboratory 250 hours of training internships in companies in the sector or institutional bodies. The 1st level University Master - organized by the University of Rome "Tor Vergata" and by ENAC, the National Civil Aviation Authority with the participation of sector bodies and companies - trains drone designers, specialists in processes and based services on SAPR. Two scholarships are available to fully cover the course provided by Telespazio. Scholarships are awarded mainly on a meritocratic basis, based on the CVs received which will be assessed by a specific commission. Those enrolled who will obtain the Master degree and pass the practical skill test with ENAC examiner, will be contextually issued by a Training center authorized by ENAC and agreed with the Master the APR pilot certificate (Remote Piloted Aircraft).

The mission of the Unmanned Aerial System (UAS)-Drone Applications Certificate is to prepare students to become Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certified small Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) Remote Drone Pilots, who are trained to conduct safe, legal, and effective aerial flight operations within the National Airspace System. The core courses supporting this certificate are designed to instruct Remote Drone Pilots in how to fly mission-driven and incident-free sorties, and effectively capture/record and post-process aerial imagery.
