Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) – Education will enable students to become efficiently equipped with all the necessary skills and knowledge in order to advance in international educational organizations in public and private sectors and achieve positive results when operating in executive positions.

The programme is an online programme composed of 8 taught modules of 25 credits each, of which five are core modules and three are elective modules relating to a specialist stream, culminating in a research-based dissertation of 40 credits.

A Ph.D. in Public Health is deemed essential, not only for Zambia but worldwide, as it enables its graduates to ensure alertness, prevention, and efficient response to disease transmission and outbreaks (pandemics) as well as support disease surveillance.

ESAMI and Swiss School of Management (SSM) are jointly bringing a 3-year internationally accredited Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program to Eastern and Southern Africa. The program is based on blended learning and students can join the program anytime. Coursework will be done using SSM’s e-learning platform with ESAMI and SSM campuses available as study centers. Four-day online workshops and frequent webinars on selected topics will be offered during the program. Candidates enrolled in 2020 will receive a partial scholarship.

The M.Sc. in Managerial Psychology aims to equip students with an ability to deploy skills and understanding in a range of seminal and contemporary issues surrounding psychological principles and research applied to business environments, through techniques of critical analysis, reflection and evaluation, complying with the pronounced long term educational goals of Zambia, which focus on the development of individual learners in holistic manner that address their cognitive-developmental needs, affective and psychomotor skills. Moreover, equally important, are clarity of thought, knowledge of the possibility and limits of application of psychology in working environments, the capacity to explore issues, and present positions, in a structured and methodical way as well as the capacity to recognize and accommodate insights from a variety of sources. In other words, the meaningful acquisition of relevant skills and knowledge enables students to meet challenges and lead individual fruitful lives, while empowering them to contribute to the sustainable development of their immediate environment.

This programme aims to provide students with a theoretical framework for understanding and evaluating mass communication channels and their impact on public relations practices. This programme aims to sharpen students’ creative thinking and writing skills as well as, enhance their interest in understanding current public relations situations and trends.

The goal of the PhD programme is to prepare the next generation of leading researchers. The PhD is a programme of independent, self-directed academic research degree, supported by a team of supervisors that makes an original contribution to knowledge written up in a publishable dissertation. The PhD programme also supports the development of research and generic skills to equip you to operate successfully as a professional researcher in any setting. The essential requirement of a PhD is the creation of new knowledge. Being a researcher means developing new ideas and improving understanding through the creation of new knowledge. Your research will inevitably build to some degree on the work and ideas of others, but as a research student, you are expected to make an original contribution to knowledge in your discipline. Each Doctoral student must take a number of online modules and also complete a dissertation. Students must defend their dissertation in a "viva voce" (oral) examination which can be completed online. The viva-voce examination is an intense and challenging experience, but we offer relevant guidance and support to help our research students prepare for this important milestone.

This programme aims to develop students’ appreciation of the essential effectiveness of project management roles and functions within industrial and organisational settings and prepare students to become proficient at finding resources, the relevant stakeholders and funding solutions needed to plan and execute a project.

The evening MBA program is specifically designed for managers from the public, NGO, and private sectors. Such executives will have full-time job responsibilities and cannot afford to attend an advanced management education on a full time basis.

Transport and Infrastructure have been identified as important prerequisites to enhancing social and economic development. ESAMI is aware that without a critical mass of trained staff in the transport sector, its operational performance will remain poor, hence the introduction of MBA-TELM.
