Women’s studies programs are interdisciplinary courses that examine women’s roles in societies, cultures and socioeconomic classes. Students may learn about feminist theories, multiculturalism, social justice, critical theory, queer theory and politics to fully understand the representation of women in race, gender, politics and religions.

Much of the work force in the UAE are foreign expatriates - hence the country's population makeup being so diverse, with Emirati citizens being a minority in their own country.
