3 English Undergraduate Pathway Programs

An International Year One is a one-year (3-term) programme which offers successful students a pathway to Year 2 of university. Students will typically study 3-4 subjects, depending on the pathway chosen or the intended progression degree, as well as English Language. An understanding of English for academic purposes is crucial to complete assignments and bridging any academic gaps, aiding students to succeed at university. As successful students can progress onto Year 2 of a related degree, the IELTS entry levels are higher than for an Undergraduate Foundation. Students, on average, will spend up to five hours per week per subject in class and be expected to allocate a similar number of hours to independent study.

The Intensive English Center (IEC) is housed within Tennessee State University, a historically black university (HBCU) located in Nashville, TN. TSU is Nashville’s only urban and comprehensive public university, as well as middle Tennessee’s first public Carnegie Doctoral/Research institution. IEC’s Undergraduate Pathways Program will allow you to take university classes while you learn English. This program is ideal for students who have some proficiency in English and want to start studying towards their degree as soon as possible.

DTC pathway program is a learning bridge to prepare high school students for their further educations in an international degree program at Dusit Thani College in Bangkok or others overseas. The programs have been exclusively designed in order to ensure that the development of learners’ 21st-century skills will be jumpstarted.
