Therefore, the Department of Tourism aims to nurture highly specialized human resources equipped with theories and research methodology for tourism, analysis of tourism phenomena, and theoretical applications. In order to improve the quality of life in the high-speed information age and to promote the tourism industry in response to this, the study of tourism theory is systematically studied to nurture talents with qualifications as tourism experts.

The Department of Tourism Management opened the master's and doctoral programs in the Department of Management in November of 1999. The Department of Tourism Management later separated from the Department of Management and the masters and doctoral programs are now operated independently.
