We offer a Master's course in Process Engineering, Environmental Protection for international students. The program provides knowledge on modern technologies of water treatment, wastewater treatment, waste management and utilization. Graduate is able to solve problems related to planning, designing and control of technological processes, supervision and operation of installations for water and wastewater treatment as well as disposal and management of municipal and industrial wastes, independently or in an international team. Graduate knows and applies advanced research techniques and tools as well as analytical and simulation methods.

Una Europa Joint Bachelor in Sustainability (BASUS) is an innovative interdisciplinary programme co-designed and co-taught by eight leading European universities, all members of the Una Europa alliance. The programme provides an extensive education on sustainability, its various complexities and the interdependence of divergent disciplines with the aim to equip its graduates with necessary tools to forge a better future.

The Bachelor in Management Major in Sustainable Business provides students with the knowledge and skills to navigate sustainability challenges using an interdisciplinary approach. Rooted in scientific research yet deeply connected to real-world business practices, the program covers a wide range of sustainability topics, offering insights into their context, solutions, and management tools for leading the transition toward sustainability.

Global and Development Studies (GLAD) is an interdisciplinary program, which aims to equip students with a fundamental understanding of processes of globalization in various spheres of human activity: law, politics, economy, history, social relations, culture, and communication. Students gain core knowledge of the very phenomena of globalization and international development as well as specialize in their various aspects and influence they have on the contemporary world. The program is structured in such a way that it allows students to focus either on a selected part of the world, or specific global problems and challenges.

The Environmental Protection and Management studies are addressed to English-speaking students who seek specialist education in contemporary environmental conservation and natural resource management. Our experienced staff and external high-class experts, possessing well-entrenched scientific achievements, impart deepened and always updated knowledge with a focus on teamwork plus planning and conducting valorization or monitoring works. The interdisciplinary study program provides a large number of practical activities in well-equipped, modern laboratories as well as during field classes.

The Graduate Program in Environment Protection Engineering aims at research and engineering activities concerning the mitigating of negative impacts of human activity on the environment. It is primarily addressed to the alumni of the undergraduate program in environmental engineering or other undergraduate programs in engineering, such as civil, mechanical, or chemical engineering.

Students will gain interdisciplinary knowledge covering all fields of green technology and environmental monitoring. In the Master’s course, students will gain specialist knowledge in the fields of green and environmental technologies, analytical chemistry, and methods. The course highlights “skills” in the fields of environmental contamination monitoring and remediation technologies.

In order to respond to these two trends, Jagiellonian University launches the International Security and Development program. ISAD aims to foster creative thinking about complex problems of global security and development, as well as to equip students with analytical tools, language expertise, and cross-cultural understanding.

Students will gain practical as well as theoretical knowledge covering all fields of green and new technologies and environmental analysis and monitoring. The students will have a solid understanding of environmental and analytical chemistry, ecology, and process engineering. The course will focus on hands-on laboratory experience and skill-set-based engineering project work.

Environmental Engineering program prepares students to work in enterprises, administration, planning and design offices or consulting companies.

The Sustainability Studies is an interdisciplinary program which aims at fostering students’ understanding, appreciation, and thoughtful problem-solving skills regarding the relationship and interactions between human society and the environment. The studies will provide the interdisciplinary background that is needed to understand many of the complex challenges facing our world and will equip students with the skills needed to develop solutions to these problems.
