Students at ISSOS who choose our journalism summer course will be taught to sharpen their research and writing skills and debate social, political and ethical issues. These skills have wide-ranging applications and will stand students in good stead during their education and beyond.

Use the inspiring campuses and surrounding areas of Cambridge and Yale Universities as a playground of visual stimulation, ISSOS is the best place to learn or advance your photography skills. Learn to photograph the landscape, portraits of friends, nature and life in action. Use the art of photography to communicate, tell a story or advertise a product.

Over the three-week period this imaginative and inspirational theatre summer school program will combine a series of skill-based master classes and ensemble workshops in which students will work as a team under the guidance of a professional director to create an exciting piece of divised theatre, to be performed in the final week.

Professional coaching, interactive workshops and a variety of debating opportunities create a stimulating environment where our summer students can immerse themselves in the exciting academic world of debate. At ISSOS we believe that learning English is about more than studying words and phrases — we see it as a chance to explore new ideas and cultures and develop communication skills that will take you around the world. This exciting interactive summer school course catering for 13-18 year-olds of all ability levels, assists students to become proficient in the English language while immersing them in an English-speaking environment. Students receive daily instruction from experienced teachers who ensure that all core skills (speaking, reading, writing and listening) are practiced.

Beginner’s benefit from individual attention and constant encouragement, as well as learning to develop their basic tennis strokes. Intermediate players refine their strokes and learn how to use their strengths for competitive advantage. More advanced players also cover spin techniques, positional play, footwork and tactical awareness. All players play full-length games and learn the rules of the game, as well as receiving coaching in good tennis technique, sportsmanship and general fitness.

Our study skills program is designed for students who are preparing for their final years of high school. It covers advanced level study skills that will give them the essential tools they need for success in a variety of challenging academic curriculums from the IB Diploma, to A-Levels, SATs and for future university study.
