Service Design is an established and successful innovation methodology that helps generate exciting and meaningful experiences for people, like you.

This course explores local and global ethical problems that managers face in markets for goods, services, labor, or capital. Through identification and discussion of the basic business disciplines, students uncover the interdependencies in the creation, delivery and capture of value.

This Summer School aim to provide an overview of the main Machine Learning and Deep Learning methods and their application to geophysical, geological, environmental and geographical data, keeping a more practical flavour.

The Summer School “Ancient Egyptian Astronomy, Archaeoastronomy, and Magic” is a 7-day intensive academic program aimed to introduce the students to the study of ancient Egyptian astronomy.

The one-week intensive Summer School explores strategies and methods for effective museum communication, with a focus on the content, design, and technology of labels and educational panels. The Summer School will be activated with at least 7 students. The maximum number of participants is set to 20 students.

The Summer School intends to present some selected tools that can help humanists in their researches and activities, taking advantage of the digital turn and the new technologies. Particular attention is given this year to NLP, Digital Philology, GIS & AI.

This one-week intensive Summer School tackles one of today’s pressing questions: how do we communicate the legacy of ancient cultures to contemporary, global audiences? The program focuses on the content, design, and technologies that shape inclusive museum spaces and texts.

The Summer School " How to Study Egyptian Mummies: Techniques and Instruments" is a 7-day intensive academic program aimed to introduce the students to the study of ancient Egyptian mummies and mummification practice. Italian and international scholars will present the history and evolution of mummification, the study of ancient Egyptian human remains the main palaeopathological and bioarchaeological techniques and instruments.

The Summer School "Beyond 5G: Enabling Technologies, Opportunities and Research Challenges Ahead" is organized to offer 6 ECTS (48 hours of front lessons) in the broad field of 5G and beyond 5G (B5G) networks, targeting an audience of Bachelor (last year), Master and PhD students, early stage researchers and practitioners from Academia or Industry. The technologies, opportunities and research challenges of 5G networks will be presented and discussed during the school.

The 2026 edition of the Summer School Enabling Technologies for Industrial Internet of Things (ET-I2oT 2026) is organized to provide 6 ECTS (about 52 hours of front lessons) in the fields of Electronics, RFID, Sensors, Networking, Web of Things, SW for IoT, Computer Engineering, targeting on one side an audience of Bachelor (last year), Master and PhD students, and on the other side early stage researchers and practitioners from Academia or Industry. Both HW and SW aspects of IoT will be presented and discussed during the school.

The third edition of the Summer School “Microwaves and mm-waves for the Design of Advanced Wireless Links: Communication, Sensing and Power Transfer” aims to provide participants with a solid understanding of the fundamental principles and design strategies of modern wireless systems operating in the microwave and millimeter-wave frequency bands. It is co-coordinated by Prof. Paolo Nepa (Department of Information Engineering, University of Pisa) and Prof. Pietro Bolli, (Technology Director at the INAF Arcetri Astrophysical Observatory, Florence).

An online workshop course that explores the ways in which writers of fiction have used language to examine the world, create compelling characters, and move readers. We will begin by studying a selection of stories that demonstrate the many techniques writers use to create fictional worlds; we'll use these stories as models for writing exercises and short assignments, leading to a full story draft. We will study figurative language, character and setting development, and dramatic structure, among other elements of story craft. Then, each student will submit a full draft and receive feedback from the instructor and his/her classmates. This course is taught entirely online but retains the feel of a traditional classroom. Optional synchronous elements such as discussion and virtual office hours provide the student with direct interaction with both the instructor and his/her classmates.
