The Summer School International Summer Program is designed to showcase the very best of the Esade experience, it welcomes students from all disciplines who wish to deepen their understanding of Business and Global Governance within an international and multidisciplinary environment.

The Graduate Summer School in Management is an immersive learning experience to provide students with the tools to navigate today’s complex business environment. Through a blend of academic excellence and practical applications, participants will develop the strategic mindset and leadership skills.

Examines the use of economic and statistical tools for making business decisions at an advanced level and prepares students for future study in business analytics. Introduces programming for data analysis (no previous programming knowledge required) and links data analysis to decision-making using both spreadsheet modeling and statistical programming.

This summer school is tailored for advanced master’s, PhDs, and early-career scholars across all management disciplines (e.g., strategy, entrepreneurship, leadership). Learn to design rigorous, transparent, and replicable studies through hands-on workshops in open science, robust methods, and critical appraisal.

Develops a framework for understanding the various types of financial decision-making faced by financial managers and provides students with analytical tools for evaluating portfolio construction and management problems systematically. Includes analysis and determination of securities values.

Exposes students to the fundamentals of probability, decision analysis, and statistics, and their application to business. Topics include probability, decision analysis, distributions, sampling, estimation, hypothesis testing, and chi-square. Effective Fall 2018, this course fulfills a single unit in the following BU Hub area: Quantitative Reasoning I.

Examines the corporate valuation process by which takeovers and other corporate control transactions take place. Includes financial forecasting, based on expectation models, scenario analysis, and due diligence. Emphasizes the defensive measures by management against hostile bids, buyout transactions, the relation of takeovers to capital structure changes, and insider trading in takeover contests. 

Provides students with a powerful set of tools that prepares them to analyze, formulate, and implement business firm strategy to attain sustainable competitive advantage. Adopts the perspective of the general manager, challenging student knowledge in each functional area in the effort to create integrative strategies that serve the needs of shareholders, as well as other stakeholders inside and outside the company.

This course explores local and global ethical problems that managers face in markets for goods, services, labor, or capital. Through identification and discussion of the basic business disciplines, students uncover the interdependencies in the creation, delivery and capture of value.

Business & Entrepreneurship introduces our students to the processes behind developing a business idea and teaches them how they can use that to make a positive impact on the world.

An intensive summer course designed to equip students with a solid foundation in leadership and organisational behaviour (OB). The course introduces students to the key principles that explain how individuals and groups behave in organisations, and how leaders can shape that behaviour in ethical and effective ways.
