8 International Relations Summer Course Programs

The Graduate Summer School in International Relations offers an opportunity to analyse major political, economic and security challenges at a global level. The programme allows participants to gain understanding of international affairs and develop skills to decipher the complex global dynamics.

Undergraduate core course. Examines different patterns of political development and contemporary politics in Europe, Latin America, Africa, and Asia. Introduces the comparative method in political science and competing theories of political development and political change.

Explores major issues in international relations, including conflict, cooperation, and governance. Addresses dominant international relations theories and their application. Investigates state system, international law and organization, transnational actors, state behavior, and globalization.

Approaches to the study of conflict and cooperation in world affairs. Applications to war, terrorism, trade policy, the environment, and world poverty. Debates about the ethics of war and the global distribution of wealth.

Open only to non-Questrom students. Marketing elective for Business minors. How is it that some products succeed and some fail? In many instances, the difference is in their marketing. The course examines key areas of marketing including product development, advertising, promotions, pricing, and channels.

This course will examine concepts and theories in the study of world affairs and global politics. It will cover the mainstream approaches of realism and liberalism as well as major critical approaches, including feminism and post-colonialism. Theories and concepts will be discussed in the context of historical and contemporary case studies, including the Cold War, the 2003 invasion of Iraq, the 2008 global financial crisis, and the COVID-19 pandemic. Relevant scholarly frameworks will also be used to make sense of major issues in the study and practice of global politics such as weapons proliferation, humanitarian intervention, and the climate crisis.

The Model EU Brussels is the combination of an online intensive course conducted by the Eastwest European Institute in partnership with Associazione Diplomatici, and an on-site simulation delivered by eastwest ONLUS.
