26 Fine Arts and Illustration Summer Course Programs

This immersive program combines hands-on creative workshops with cultural adventures across the city. Students work in teams to tackle a real-world challenge, using Design Thinking, brainstorming, rapid prototyping, and storytelling to turn bold ideas into meaningful solutions.

In this course students will learn the basics of relief printing, including learning how to use carving tools and techniques, as well as how to print, create color separations and patterns with printing blocks. Students will learn relief printing processes both with and without a press.

Provides a comprehensive overview of IT Project Management and the key processes associated with planning, organizing, and controlling software projects. Focuses on various knowledge areas such as project scope management, risk management, quality management, communications management, and integration management.

The Creative Summer camp is aimed at young international and Italian students who want to live a unique experience in the Eternal City and study painting, design, photography, cinema and art history, attending the study program of one of the most prestigious Academies of Fine Arts and Communication in Rome, whilst enriching their education and curriculum.

The Summer Course in Illustration: Visual Research and Practice is designed for those who want to approach illustration from its foundations while developing an initial creative working method. The Sacred Art School, a training area of the Foundation for Contemporary Sacred Art, offers a Summer School in painting and drawing, sculpture and drawing and jewelry in the city of Florence. During the month of July, the Sacred Art School organizes intensive courses in goldsmithing, painting and drawing and sculpture and drawing lasting one month. Art tours and visits are included in the city of Florence as part of the curricular activities.

Open to the creative individual, inspired professionals, current college students, and college graduates, as well as those newly admitted to SCI-Arc’s M.Arch 1 program, Making+Meaning is a four-week summer studio program that introduces students to architectural experimentation and transformative design techniques in a unique and lively studio setting.

The Scenic Art Summer Course is a five-day course in scenic art led by Vanessa Cass, Head of Design Realisation at Guildhall School, which will introduce you to scenic painting techniques used to create realistic backdrops and set pieces for theatre, events, and TV.

UM’s Pre-College Summer Program Summer Exploration experience is a transformative live-in experience while exploring all aspects of student life as you engage with world-class faculty, explore iconic landscapes and communities surrounding Missoula, Montana, and build meaningful connections with other high school students and graduating seniors, like yourself.

The Summer Course in Introduction to Styling and Decoration is a program in English where you will learn how to develop a decoration project, from the idea to its execution. Over the course of two weeks, you will explore the fundamentals of the discipline and gain knowledge about styles, trends, space planning, colour theory or lighting.

This course, taught in English, covers all the basics of how to 'dress' spaces and create living experiences based on the relationship with objects and people.

The Global Ecologies Studio Summer School is a combined studio and science course offered to students who are looking for an opportunity to explore their studio art practice while examining various concepts found in ecology and earth systems. Based in the Burren of Western Ireland, this course provides a unique experiential and observable location to explore relationships between landscape and the social sphere.

Led by a professional artist, students will be encouraged to explore new artistic techniques and perfect existing skills to develop their artistic talents this summer.

This course will teach you all the secrets of a drawing and painting "Atelier", covering both theory and practice

Through this Restoring Medieval and Renaissance Paintings course of study, you will have the opportunity to delve deeper into and experience the basics of the restoration and conservation of tables between the 12th and 15th centuries. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to discover and paint with the ancient technique of egg tempera painting and you will be able to directly experiment with the technique with pictorial retouching exercises.

Since 2021, the Universities of Pisa and Sultan Qaboos have been engaged in a joint archaeological mission at Al-Tikha, within the modern city of Rustaq in the Al-Batinah Governorate of Oman.
