Unlike most other countries in Western Europe, Luxembourg doesn't have a central application portal. Instead, you'll need to apply to individual courses (up to a maximum of three) at individual schools.ย

Application requirements
Requirements vary from school to school and program to program, but this is generally what you'll need to present when applying to study in Luxembourg:
- High school grade transcripts
- Letter of motivation
- Letter or two of recommendation
- Copy of your passport
- Language test results scores
- It's easy to find widely accepted English, French, and German tests, but it's possible to take a Luxembourgish test over the internet.
For Master's and PhD studies, you'll also need to provide transcripts from your previous degree(s) and your academic and professional CVs.

Additional tips
Apply with plenty of time left, as the schools will need time to let you know if you need to submit anything extra. Sometimes, schools ask for physical copies of documents, so add additional postage time.ย
Documents will need to be presented in the language you plan on studying. You'll need to present your original documents with any notarized translations you might need.ย
This process seems less bureaucratic than in other countries because it is. In Luxembourg, the letter of motivation is extremely important and is normally the main factor in any admission decision.
