Study in the Philippines: Tuition Fees & Scholarships

Despite being regulated by the CHE, Filipino schools are free to set their own tuition fees. To stay competitive, however, most schools set their fees at between $1000 and $2500 per academic year. Courses like medicine and engineering will fall towards the higher end of this spectrum.

These fees are generally the same at all three levels of higher education. Some doctoral students convert their SSP to a work permit and teach part-time whilst studying. Fees are payable in Pesos, either as a bank giro or as an international transfer. You’ll need to keep the receipt for immigration purposes.

As for scholarships, these are normally awarded to Filipino students only. However, many CHE-regulated schools do offer their own scholarships to international students. These can range from a set amount per semester or year through to a full ride. Check what any schools that you’re thinking of applying to have on offer.
