About this program
Postgraduate Diploma in Maritime Energy
Industry and governments around the world are engaged in the international effort to battle climate change, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and air pollutants while doing their best to achieve the targets of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. At the same time, there is constant pressure towards cost-efficiency and market competitiveness. The Paris Agreement and new IMO regulations on air pollution along with IMO GHG strategy mean that a significant reduction in GHG emissions is necessary over the coming decades.
The program responds to these drivers in a very timely manner and equips maritime professionals with technical and socio-economic-environmental knowledge relating to IMO’s regulations on air pollution and potential mitigation measures to achieve a sustainable, zero/low carbon and energy-efficient maritime future.
