About this program
Combine your passion for horses with your work
Are you a passionate horse-lover? Do you want to make a difference in the international equine sector as an equine feed consultant, breeding expert or event manager? Whether regarding top-tier sports or hobby horse-riding, it is vital that we focus on what’s most important: the respectful treatment of horses. Can you envision yourself taking the lead on this in the future?
The Equine, Sports and Business study programme is a track of the Bachelor Animal Husbandry. You will spend half of your time studying the horse itself, and the other half on the business side of the equine world. You will learn about nutrition, breeding, genetics and animal welfare. In addition, you will follow courses such as marketing, finance, event management and business. In the meantime, you will automatically become part of the programme's extensive international network.
The equine industry is growing rapidly worldwide, which offers plenty of opportunities. Developments in breeding, sport, recreation and business are following in short succession and The Netherlands is leading the way in this respect. Will you help the sector in sucesfully adapting to these developments?
