Options include a communication major, journalism major, as well as a master's degree in communication. We also offer a communication minor, journalism minor, public relations minor, and marketing communication minor as well.

The following learning outcomes are expected of each student graduating with a bachelor's degree in communication:

  • Outcome: Students will be able to make effective oral presentations on a variety of topics in public settings.
  • Outcome: Students will be able to apply basic and advanced human communication theories and models to academic and professional situations.
  • Outcome: Students will be able to make effective business and professional presentations to internal and external audiences.
