Program description

The PG Diploma in Human Resource Management (HRM) is a specialist postgraduate course designed primarily to meet the career development needs of human resource managers, advisers and administrators, in line with the subject benchmark statements of the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) for postgraduate degrees in business and management (2007).

The course also meets the Advanced Level knowledge requirements of the CIPD for upgrading to the professional grades of membership.
Throughout the course, students are encouraged to:

• take a critical perspective on current theory and practice

• analyse complex problems and devise creative solutions

• develop the skills needed to conduct research into human resource management issues.

You will be expected to take responsibility for your own learning and to contribute to the learning of others to become a reflective practitioner.
