Program description

This dynamic course offers you the chance to learn about fashion branding and marketing, preparing you for a successful career working in the global fashion industry, in the specialised areas of brand management and Marketing.
You will develop an understanding of the marketing strategies for all types of retailers, from value high street to luxury sectors. It will guide students through specialisms such as market research, consumer behaviour, creative strategic marketing communications, digital marketing media, brand management and luxury branding. You will gage an appreciation of marketing in a wider context through consideration of aspects such as ethics, social marketing and corporate social responsibility.

You will also have the opportunity to research current trends in global international markets and will explore marketing communications. You will learn to utilise current creative media, as well as, developing a strong eye for contemporary and future fashion trends.
Throughout the course you will work on enhancing your:
• communication and presentation skills
• creative management skills
• problem solving skills
• numeric ability.
Industry professionals interact with the course on projects as visiting speakers. You will engage in industrial visits and relevant cultural exhibitions, allowing you the opportunity to develop a professional portfolio of student work. You will also receive guidance on CV creation during the course to enhance your employability prospects.
Graduates of the BA (Hons) Fashion Branding and Marketing will be well equipped to enter and succeed in a range of fashion careers both in full-time employment and freelance scenarios. These commonly fall into a number of categories including marketing and related specialist communications (in-house and agency.)

• Specialist communications (e.g. digital marketing agency)
