BSc (Hons) Marketing and Management with Psychology (with a professional placement year)
The consumer is at the heart of business. Understanding consumer psychology is a key to success in today’s competitive job market.
You’ll gain a deep understanding of psychological processes that inform consumer preferences. This, combined with marketing and management theory and practice, will advance your knowledge around key aspects of contemporary marketing such as:
- global marketing strategy
- branding
- digital marketing
- consumer data analytics.
You’ll delve into the mind of the consumer to understand the stimuli of attention and persuasion they respond to. You’ll:
- understand the social-psychological factors that drive consumers’ decision-making process
- explore how marketers factor this knowledge into their decisions
- develop a valuable understanding of organisational behaviour, economics and accounting.
You also benefitfrom having an Academic Success Adviser who can help you with academic study skills including critical thinking, presenting, academic writing and note-making. Whether you want to launch your own company, become an advertising executive, or innovate at the heart of a global organisation, this course will prepare you for a range of marketing and management roles.

GCSEs: You must have GCSE (or equivalent) Mathematics, with at least grade 4 (or grade C). You should also have a broad range of GCSEs grade 9-4 (A*-C), including good grades in relevant subjects.
Extended Project Qualification: We take the EPQ into account when considering your application and it can be useful in the summer when your results are released if you have narrowly missed the conditions of your offer. We do not routinely include the EPQ in the conditions of your offer but we sometimes offer alternative conditions that include the EPQ
International requirements
International Baccalaureate
Typical offer 30 -32 points overall from the full IB Diploma.
European Baccalaureate
Typical offer Overall result of at least 75% to 77%.
Additional requirements
You must have a good level of Mathematics.
English language requirements
IELTS (Academic)
6.0 overall, including at least5.5 in each component
