About this program

BSc (Hons) Marketing and Management with Psychology (with a professional placement year)

The consumer is at the heart of business. Understanding consumer psychology is a key to success in today’s competitive job market.

You’ll gain a deep understanding of psychological processes that inform consumer preferences. This, combined with marketing and management theory and practice, will advance your knowledge around key aspects of contemporary marketing such as:

  • global marketing strategy
  • branding
  • digital marketing
  • consumer data analytics.

You’ll delve into the mind of the consumer to understand the stimuli of attention and persuasion they respond to. You’ll:

  • understand the social-psychological factors that drive consumers’ decision-making process
  • explore how marketers factor this knowledge into their decisions
  • develop a valuable understanding of organisational behaviour, economics and accounting.

You also benefitfrom having an Academic Success Adviser who can help you with academic study skills including critical thinking, presenting, academic writing and note-making. Whether you want to launch your own company, become an advertising executive, or innovate at the heart of a global organisation, this course will prepare you for a range of marketing and management roles.
