We have three faculties within the University: Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences; Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences and the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences. Together, they offer over 100 postgraduate courses, all of which can be personalised to your interests and goals.

Programs
Scholarships & funding
We offer a number of merit-based and means-tested awards to eligible students, including several for international students, to support them financially during their studies. Some are subject-specific, and others are exclusively available to international students, such as the Surrey International Master’s Scholarship, which provides all full-time master’s students from Ghana, India, Nigeria, Pakistan, Thailand, Turkey, and Vietnam a discount of GBP 2,500 off their first-year tuition fees.
Surrey Black Scholars Studentship Award 2023
These three and a half year, fully funded scholarships are part of a larger programme to improve access and participation for Black British students in postgraduate research, jointly funded by the Office for Students, Research England, and the University of Surrey.
The purpose of Surrey Black Scholars: To Become Visible Programme is to provide Black British students with the resources, support, and environment necessary to achieve excellence and pursue rich and rewarding careers after graduation. Through embedding sustainable initiatives that build a pipeline for Black students, enhance experience and provide a career boost, we will improve our inclusive culture and race equity at Surrey to benefit our whole postgraduate community.

Campuses
Our main campus is located on Stag Hill, close to the town centre of Guildford and next to Guildford Cathedral. It’s a lovely, leafy campus full of space to relax, as well as most of our student facilities, including the Library and Learning Centre, the MySurrey Hive, the Students’ Union, plus shops, bars, and cafes.We have a second campus, at Manor Park, a short distance away, which is home to the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, Surrey Sports Park, and lots more accommodations.
The two are well-connected by walking, bike, or bus.
Student lifestyle
Across our lovely, leafy campus, you’ll find a great choice of places to eat, drink and hang out. As well as a selection of shops and cafes, there are also facilities like The Snug, a bookable student space with huge comfy sofas, an 85” screen, and PlayStation.
There are more than 180 student societies – perfect to help you find a new hobby, or pursue an existing passion with like-minded people. If you’re looking for an active lifestyle, the University of Surrey also has over 40 sports clubs to join, from football to lacrosse and volleyball. These are based at the Surrey Sports Park on campus, which also hosts a 50m swimming pool and 120-station gym.
The Students’ Union also organises unforgettable events and volunteering opportunities to ensure you have the best possible university experience.
Accommodation
There are over 6,000 study bedrooms on campus, at least half of which have an en-suite shower and toilet plus unlimited, free broadband. There are choices to suit all budgets and requirements and you’re guaranteed university accommodation in your first year as long as your application arrives on time. All student residences are self-catered with shared kitchen facilities and are monitored by security 24/7.
Off-campus, there is a variety of housing in the Guildford area let privately or through the University of Surrey's own Property Management Scheme.

Really worked socks off for students with a disability- making sure they're 'enabled'. Asked fellow students to friend me 23 times live during Stats course. Only answer 1 as they didn't address the challenge of my work abroad in the Far East, absent from classes.
