Environmental History MLitt

The MLitt in Environmental History explores human interaction with the non-human natural world within the context of studying the history of science, medicine and environment.

The MLitt in Environmental History is an interdisciplinary postgraduate program run jointly by the Institute for Environmental History and the Department of Modern History.

Environmental History examines human interaction with the natural world through time, and students will have the opportunity to engage with this intellectually urgent field.

Admission requirements

  • A good 2.1 Honours undergraduate degree in History or a related discipline. If you studied your first degree outside the UK, see the international entry requirements.
  • English language proficiency. See English language tests and qualifications.

The qualifications listed are indicative minimum requirements for entry. Some academic Schools will ask applicants to achieve significantly higher marks than the minimum.
