About this program

Management Entrepreneurship

Innovation and Entrepreneurship has become a driving force in economic and societal change. The proliferation of new ventures and small businesses stimulates many new career and professional opportunities. Even large, established organizations today recognize the value creation potential of innovative and entrepreneurial opportunities. The Management Entrepreneurship Concentration provides students with the skills and mindset needed to succeed in fast-moving environments. Students will engage in new concept creation from idea generation, to validation, and execution. Students will also acquire knowledge and training in applied creativity through innovation for organizations of all types and sizes.

This concentration gives students the confidence they need to successfully start and lead new ventures, to restructure business models, and to build high-performing entrepreneurial teams. Entrepreneurs tend to pursue their goals aggressively while seeking independence and freedom from boundaries. You might do this by starting your own firm, managing a family business, or buying a franchise right after your undergraduate studies or several years down the road. It could also be as a product manager, market analyst, or development team lead for an existing business, as firms increasingly recognize the importance of integrating entrepreneurship into their business strategies. Other career opportunities include consulting practices, business incubators, and research firms.
