Program description

Food and Innovation in Rural Transition: the Tuscany Case

The course aims to increase awareness and competencies about food issues and transition in agriculture and rural areas and to prepare students in order to design future sustainable transitions pathways able to meet medium and long-term societal and consumer demands. The Course would provide students engaged with agricultural and rural studies an immersive experience on the Tuscan territory.

The program will be entirely held online, via Microsoft Teams.

Admission requirements

The school is open to EU and Non-EU students (University degree or Bachelor degree, Master degree) as well as PhD students.

Minimum admission requirements are:

  • Bachelor Degree
  • Fluent engish
  • Background in rural development field

The Foundation Course

Summer Schools

Intensive academic courses for international students and also for graduates.They mostly last from 1 to 6 weeks and take place in an international context, with students and lecturers coming from various parts of the world and all lectures delivered in English.They are characterized by nonconventional teaching formats (workshops, tutorials, excursions, cultural events, business testimonials, etc.) and a multidisciplinary approach. Professors are experts in their areas and have a keen interest in what they do.Summer Schools meet strict academic regulations: each grants at least 3 ECTS credits and the participants who successfully pass the final exams will receive an official academic transcript.
