Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence

Three universities of excellence, the University of Milan, the University of Pavia, and the University of Milano-Bicocca,  came together to create this course, an English-taught bachelor degree in Artificial Intelligence, aiming to train young professionals to be able to guide private companies and public organizations through a technological turning point defined by the development of advanced automation tools and human-machine interaction with ‘intelligent’ behavior. This course is designed for who would like to become: 

  • Expertise in applying Artificial Intelligence to data analysis and knowledge management for communications and marketing
  • Expertise in applying Artificial Intelligence to embedded systems and intelligent manufacturing processes
  • Expertise in applying Artificial Intelligence to bio-inspired algorithms and human-environment interaction systems
  • Expertise in applying Artificial Intelligence to mathematical models and physical technologies

Program content

Students design their own career by selecting one of the four specializations (each one including four courses), and by choosing two elective courses and three laboratories. A stage can replace the three laboratories.

Scholarships & funding

EDiSU Pavia scholarship: Edisu scholarship benefits for all level applicants include: accommodation in a Residence; one meal per day at the canteens; a sum of money, according to the student’s  economic situation.

Program delivery

The course is entirely taught in English and is administered in Pavia. However, lessons will take place at the University of Pavia as well as at the University of Milan and at the University of Milan-Bicocca.


  • Fees for EU and non-EU students regularly residing in Italy are based on students’ family income and on the field of study. They range from about 156 EUR to 4000 EUR per year.
  • Non-Eu students with a valid study VISA can benefit from a flat rate, set on the basis of the Country of citizenship and the field of study. The flat rate ranges from 400 EUR to 4500 EUR per year.


Students who finish successfully the course will be awarded with a Bachelor Degree.
