About this program

GIM - Industrial & Materials Engineering

The purpose of the Industrial Engineering and Materials program is to give students  a high level of knowledge and skills in two complementary fields: Materials and Production Management.

The majority of the courses are related to the main specialties:

  • Materials Science and Engineering (Crystallography, Physical Metallurgy, Elasticity, Alloys, Polymers, Composites etc.)
  • Production management (Operational research, Business Economics, Industrial Management, Optimization, Clean and Safe Production etc.)

The rest of the courses include:

  • Basic scientific disciplines such as Mathematics, Computer Science and Physics which contribute to enriching the general engineering background.
  • Specialized engineering courses (Mechanics, Electrical Engineering, etc.).
  • Soft skills courses in foreign languages and communication.

The central elements of the curriculum are industrial and research internships. Throughout the program, the students undergo three internships of 5 to 6 months and develop one industrial project.

Another great option available for the students is either the double-degree diploma or international exchange programs at one of the School's partner universities abroad.
