The Masters in Behavioural and Social Sciences at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands is an research education aimed at students who are interested in the research of behavioral and social sciences. The philosophy behind Groningen's Masters in Behavioural and Social Sciences is that basic research must be relevant to phenomena in society, and applied research must be directly theoretically relevant. Concepts within the education curriculum include analysis of mental disorders, influence of family and neighborhood on behavior of youth, effects of new education techniques, and success.

Upon completion of the Masters in Behavioural and Social Sciences, graduates have acquired an excellent education to successfully pursue a career in the field of behavioral and social sciences. This may include employment in either the public or private sector, further study for a PhD thesis, or fundamental and applied research in social and behavioral sciences.
