Online MSc Population Health Sciences

Population health science is an emerging area of health research that is focused on the multiple determinants of health outcomes and their impact on a population. The University of Glasgow is ranked in the world top 100 of universities (QS World University Rankings 2020). This 100% online MSc is dedicated to measuring, quantifying and describing the health status and health inequalities of populations through high-level research and statistical analysis.

A focus on data

The programme offers a unique opportunity to understand how physical and social environments, individual behaviour, the distribution of resources and investment and genetics impact on the health status and inequalities in populations over time. You could study optional courses, such as advanced statistics, which enable you to gain greater insight into the data and provide more thought out solutions. Rather than being assessed through a dissertation, you will be taught through data analysis, reports, posters, presentations and journal articles.
