Program description

This programme is aimed at graduates with degrees in other disciplines who wish to undertake a pre-registration Adult Nursing degree with an integrated Masters in three years.

Our nursing courses will enable you to develop the professional attributes you need to be able to practice in a range of settings and deliver skilled, sensitive care to patients and their families. You will also benefit from the wide variety of clinical placements we can offer.

We are one of the largest nursing and midwifery education providers in Scotland. Nursing students come from a wide range of backgrounds and join a large international campus with a reputation for good student facilities and social life.

Our programmes reflect the ever changing face of health care in Scotland and address the political and ethical aspects of heath care provision.

Admission requirements

The minimum requirement for the majority of our taught postgraduate programmes is an undergraduate Honours degree.

However for many of our Masters programmes you need to have at least an Upper Second Class (2:1) Honours degree, and some may specify the relevant subject they are looking for.

You can find the specific entry requirements for your chosen Masters programme on the course page. This includes details of any specific degree subjects or classification.

All courses at the University of Dundee are taught in English. If your first language is not English you must typically have an IELTS score of at least 6.5 overall (or equivalent) with a 6.0 in Writing and Speaking and a minimum of 5.5 in the other two components in order to be successful in your academic studies.

Additionally, if you require a visa to study in the UK, then you must also meet the level of English required by UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI). The IELTS standard of English language required for each Masters course is shown on the individual course page.
