About this program
Industrial Engineering and Management (Part Time) MSc
Industrial engineers who can innovate, design, and transform engineering projects and have a deep understanding of how business works are in high demand.
This degree combines specialised industry-focused engineering with fundamental business skills.
You'll study advanced robotics, looking at multi-modal sensor integration and human-robot interactions, and advanced manufacturing, investigating modern and smart manufacturing technologies.
You'll combine these studies with project management, leadership and decision making, providing you with strong knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of management.
You'll undertake an industrial-related project for at least 12 weeks. This offers exposure to industry, building up your practical experience and network within the UK and internationally. Recent project examples have investigated the optimisation of material flow and enhancement of overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) in a manufacturing company, and proton therapy.
We invest heavily in your personal and professional development. For example. we offer £1250 per student towards personal development, which is in addition to all the funded modules and teaching-related activities.
This investment can help to visit leading international trade fairs, take part in industrial talks, free professional registration (IET Institute for Engineering and Technology), support personal projects or help with travel needs for industrial placements. All this enables you to have a working industrial network and a clear vision for your future career.
