BEng (Hons) Engineering Management (Top up)
- The degree is accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE). On completion, you will have met the full requirements to register as an Incorporated Engineer (IEng)

BEng (Hons)
You need to have an HND or Foundation degree in a relevant subject.
When you apply, please send us a transcript of the modules you have already studied so that we can make sure that the HND or foundation degree is compatible with the top-up Program.

Advanced Operations Management
The core activity of any organisation is its operations, and the performance of the organisation is determined by how well these operations are managed. This module encourages learners to gain deeper insights into business and engineering operations and performance at an organisational level.

Corporations must be able to adapt and evolve if they wish to survive. They operate with the knowledge that their competitors will come to the market with a product that changes the essence of competition in their industry. This is placing organisations under increasing pressure to quickly and effectively develop new and innovative technologies, products and processes, which must meet ethical and environmental standards both in home and overseas markets.
Independent Study and Professional Development (IEng)
The individual project is regarded as an important element of the specialist degree. It provides students in their final year with a challenge to identify and undertake an original and detailed study and present a major piece of relevant work to a critical and informed audience. It aims to develop the student's power to work independently, researching in depth a topic of their choice, using relevant concepts and techniques
System Simulation and Project Management
This module is written in two parts, firstly the system modelling & simulation and secondly the application of project management.
In recent years, computer simulation has become a mainstream decision support tool in the manufacturing industry. Leading manufacturing companies around the world recognise computer simulation as a leading edge technology for the 21st century and it is rapidly becoming a mainstream business tool in many industrial sectors including automotive and aerospace.
Management for Engineers
Engineers with excellent management skills and superior business acumen are needed to manage 21st-centur engineering organisations. This module prepares engineers to fulfil their managerial responsibilities within their organisations and to make valuable and lasting contributions. The module also investigates the role of the engineer, in both industry and society, individually planning their own career progression through the development of their continuing development plan (CDP).

Program delivery
The course is delivered through a combination of lectures, tutorial classes, case study discussions, work-related learning activities, research –based learning and computer lab sessions to give you hand-on experience of using software. Furthermore, you'll have the opportunity to explore and gain valuable field experience from a number of industrial visits and guest lectures.
