BA/BSc (Hons) Marketing

Spend the first year covering all aspects of marketing to find out where your passions and talents lie. From year two, you can continue on a general marketing pathway or choose from one of the following:

  • Marketing (Consumer Psychology)
  • Marketing (Data Insights)
  • Marketing (Digital)
  • Marketing (Management)
  • Marketing (PR and Advertising)

This marketing degree is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM)so if you choose specific modules, you’ll gain exemptions towards the CIM Diploma in Professional Marketing.

You will tackle real marketing projects for employers and then develop this experience through placements and internships.

Admission requirements

  • UCAS points - 120
  • Specific requirements at GCSE -GCSE Maths and English Grade 4/Grade C (or above) or equivalent qualification
  • IELTS -6.0 (with 5.5 in each skills area)
  • BTEC - DDM
  • Pass Access to HE Diploma with 60 credits: 45 at Level 3 with a minimum of Distinction: 15 Merit: 24 Pass: 6.Must include passes in compulsory Level 3 subjects

Program delivery

Our teaching methods will be varied, interactive and engaging. You will take part in:

  • Lectures and seminars led by our own tutors as well as occasionally, by guest speakers from the marketing world
  • Individual and group-based practical assignments, such as creating advertising slogans, blogs, infographics, social media profiles, videos and TV commercials. Many of these will be for real company briefs
  • Visits to exhibitions, trade fairs and companies
  • Placements and internships
  • Research projects

Tuition fees

Full-time

  • UK students: £9,250 per year
  • International / EU students: £14,045 per year

Part-time

  • UK students: £1,155 per 20 credit module

Continuing studies

If you want to continue your studies at masters level, this degree provides an excellent springboard to an MSc in Marketing Management.

Career opportunities

There is a huge range of job opportunities in marketing and related sectors. You could work for a creative or marketing agency or decide to work on the client-side as an in-house marketing expert.
